Capture it. Understand it. Use it in a sentence, a story, or a conversation. These nine features turn your own vocabulary into a personal learning experience.
Choose a photo or use the camera. LexiCore recognizes text and objects on your device, then lets you review the candidates before saving them to your vocabulary.
Import results show which words were saved, queued, or failed, so you can retry just the failed words.
To try it Needs a photo or camera access. Cloud enrichment is separate from on-device recognition.
02 / Remember
Memory Hook
Give a hard-to-remember word a vivid association.
Create a memorable association for a saved word and choose the hook that makes sense to you. Keep that association alongside its definition and examples.
The beginner guide introduces Memory Hook around your first five saved words.
To try it Start with a saved word. New generated hooks need an available AI provider.
03 / Understand
Word DNA
Learn a root. Recognize a whole family.
Break a word into roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Explore related words and understand how their meanings connect instead of memorizing each word in isolation.
Previously obtained analyses remain available to read without generating them again.
To try it Use a saved word with a meaningful analysis. Results depend on the word and available provider.
04 / Use
Micro-Diary
Move new vocabulary into your own sentences.
Write a short daily entry using words from your library. Get practical feedback on how you used them, then return to your saved entries and corrections.
A small writing habit turns recognition into active recall and expression.
To try it Needs at least 20 saved words in the selected learning language and available AI feedback.
05 / Use
Personal Series
Read a story built around your vocabulary.
Choose a genre and hero, then follow an ongoing story woven from your saved words. Read or listen, answer exercises, and choose the direction of the next episode.
Keep previous episodes and revisit the words in a familiar context.
To try it Needs at least 25 saved words. New episodes depend on AI availability and the daily schedule.
06 / Connect
Word Atlas
See the connections inside your vocabulary.
Explore a living star map of saved words, grouped by meaning and colored by learning state. Open a word to inspect it and explicitly explore related vocabulary.
Also known as Word Constellations. Browsing your existing map is separate from requesting a new exploration.
To try it Needs at least 45 saved words to form a useful personal map.
07 / Distinguish
Confusion Radar
Practise the words you keep mixing up.
Find confusing word pairs in your vocabulary and work through focused discrimination drills. Learn the difference in context instead of repeatedly making the same mistake.
Your radar overview and saved results remain readable after a generation allowance is used up.
To try it Needs at least 50 saved words and an available confusion pair; drills depend on usable content.
08 / Discover
AI Recommendations
Find your next useful word.
Get word suggestions informed by your learning preferences and vocabulary. Review each suggestion and add the words you actually want to learn.
Adding an existing suggestion is separate from requesting a fresh recommendation batch.
To try it Fresh AI-generated batches need an available provider and feature access.
09 / Go offline
Offline Dictionaries
Keep a real dictionary in your pocket.
English is included. Download dictionary packs for nine additional languages, then look up words without a connection. Manage installed packs and storage in Settings.
Installed packs remain usable offline. Updates and reinstallation of acquired packs do not count as a new language pack.
To try it The initial pack download needs internet. Offline dictionary coverage is 10 languages, not all 30 learning languages.
Start with room to explore
Seven days to find your favourite way to learn.
Eligible new learners receive 7 days of unlimited Premium feature access after onboarding. No subscription starts automatically.
After welcome access, each feature has its own free monthly allowance. Subscribe if you want unlimited access; the app shows current limits and prices. Saved results stay readable and installed dictionaries stay usable.
Unlimited refers to LexiCore usage quotas. Device support, permissions, enough saved vocabulary, AI availability, and daily content schedules still apply.

A few things worth knowing
Questions before your first word?
What is LexiCore?
LexiCore is a vocabulary-learning app for iPhone and iPad, with iOS 18 or later. Save words you meet in real life, explore their meaning and pronunciation, and remember them with adaptive spaced repetition. You can build vocabulary in 30 supported languages without creating a LexiCore account.
What are the biggest features?
The nine advanced features are Photo Capture, Memory Hook, Word DNA, Micro-Diary, Personal Series, Word Atlas, Confusion Radar, AI Recommendations, and Offline Dictionaries. They sit alongside flashcard reviews, pronunciation, translations, collections, widgets, and quick capture.
Is LexiCore free? Does welcome access start a subscription?
LexiCore is free to download. Eligible new learners receive seven days of unlimited Premium feature access after completing onboarding. This is welcome access, not an automatically renewing subscription. Afterward, features have individual free monthly allowances; an optional paid subscription provides unlimited feature access. Current limits and subscription prices are shown in the app. Device, content, permission, and provider requirements still apply.
What works offline?
Your saved vocabulary, core reviews, previously saved learning content, and installed dictionary packs work offline. English is included; nine other dictionary languages can be downloaded. Pack downloads, iCloud sync, and cloud AI need internet. On-device AI needs a compatible device, model, and language.
Are all 30 languages available as offline dictionaries?
No. Vocabulary capture and organization support 30 learning languages. Offline dictionaries currently cover English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified). Translation and AI capabilities vary by language and device.
How do I discover features as a beginner?
Save five words to reach the first Memory Hook discovery. Live feature guides lead you through real controls and your own saved words. Later discoveries introduce Word DNA, Micro-Diary, Personal Series, Word Atlas, and Confusion Radar. Some activities need a larger vocabulary before they can produce useful personal content.
Does LexiCore use on-device or cloud AI?
LexiCore tries Apple Intelligence on-device where the device, model, and languages support it. Cloud AI can use Apple Private Cloud Compute on eligible configurations, then the LexiCore AI service through OpenRouter. Hosted generation requires your permission. You can turn Cloud AI off in Settings; some generated features may then be unavailable.
How is my data handled?
Your library is stored on your device and can sync through iCloud. Cloud AI can send the learning context needed to generate an answer to external services. From version 1.8.1, the app also uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage and diagnostic data; those services are separate from the Cloud AI control. See the Privacy Policy for details.
